Art on the River was founded by Mary Beaney. She held the first exhibition in her studio in 1995. Mary invited her friends, who studied Fine Art with her at the Eastbourne College of Art and Technology (now known as Southdown College) to exhibit with her. Since then the group has gone from strength to strength, attaining a very high professional standard of work.
