ABOUT ART ON THE RIVER

Art on the River was founded by Mary Beaney.
She held the first exhibition in her studio in 1995. Mary invited her friends, who
studied Fine Art with her at the Eastbourne College of Art and
Technology (now known as Southdown College) to exhibit with her. Since
then the group has gone from strength to strength, attaining a very
high professional standard of work.

Mary sets out to show art in a friendly approachable environment, in a
tranquil setting on the River Haven. The exhibitions always promise to
be exciting, colourful and innovative - an inspirational mixture of
styles, medium and subject.
